The Scousers have been sold to the New England Sports Ventures (NESV) who are the owners of Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox. It is said that they launched a bid of £300 million which was accepted by the board of Anfield. Liverpool FC current owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett were reluctant to sell the club for that price. The club is now awaiting the approval of the English Premier League of the proposed bid which could be done as early as friday.
This new ownership once approved should be interesting to watch unveil, maybe now the scousers can recruit a few Red Sox players to play for them to help get them out the bottom half of the table. The Boston Red Sox didn’t make the post season this year so i’m sure they’ll have players available for selection.
